Omaha Public Schools officials say a staff member at Alphonzo Davis Middle School near 130th and State was recently arrested in connection with an incident involving a minor.
The employee was placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues. The district says the incident did not involve an OPS student.
"While we cannot comment on personnel or student issues specifically, we wanted to share with you that we are taking these allegations seriously," the district said in an e-mail sent to staff and families.
OPS said the district is cooperating with law enforcement.
