An accident in Gretna on Highway 6 kills one person and critically injures another.
At 6:45 p.m. Friday, 71 year old Cassandra Clausen of Gretna was making a left turn onto North Star Drive when her vehicle was hit struck by a Volkswagen Jetta driven by 45 year old Abram Sollman of Dowagiac, Michigan.
Both were taken to a hospital where Clausen later died. Sollman is listed in critical condition.
Highway 6 was closed for about three hours following the crash while the State Patrol conducted an investigation and for clean-up.
