Eppley Airfield officials are keeping an extra close eye on potential icy conditions on Tuesday after similar weather caused a plane to slide off the runway Friday.
The airport is still working with the FAA about the plane that left the runway, also known as a "runway excursion."
What happened to Southwest Flight 1643 is the most common type of plane accident.
Thousands of people across the country were experiencing travel delays on Monday as winter weather gripped a good portion of the Midwest and Northeast.
The NTSB is investigating Friday's excursion to see what, if anything, those involved could do to prevent it from happening again. A handful of flights out of Omaha were cancelled as of early Tuesday morning.
