A Persia, Iowa man is dead and two Council Bluffs residents were hospitalized after a head-on crash in Harrison County Tuesday night.
Authorities say around 7:00, 28 year old Cody Grandmont was westbound on Highway 30 near Missouri Valley when his vehicle crossed the center line colliding with an eastbound car driven by 34 year old Rebecca Smith.
Grandmont was killed in the crash. Smith and her passenger, 31 year old Austin Tasich, were hospitalized for treatment of injuries.
Officials said it was not immediately clear why Grandmont crossed the center line as the investigation continues.
