The Douglas County Health Department says a second adult has died from the flu. Both adults were over 65 years of age.
There were 301 new cases of influenza reported last week and so far this season there have been more than 960 cases.
The state has reported one child death so far this season, a 12 year old boy from Gage County. Health officials expect the high levels of influenza to continue and encourage everyone get a flu shot.
