A Lincoln man made it very easy for officers to arrest him early last Friday morning. Police say 22 year old Curtis Scott pulled into the parking lot of the Lancaster County jail and quickly caught the attention of witnesses because he appeared to have been driving drunk.
Witnesses told police that the driver of the vehicle in question had been weaving and had driven over a parking lot island. Officers followed up on the report and found the car with no one inside.
Then they got word that the driver and a passenger were in the jail lobby causing a disturbance. That's where offcers encountered Scott. As they conducted a DUI investigation, they found Scott in possession of THC Wax, the prescription drug alprazolam and a lump in his sock that turned out to be $439 in suspected drug money.
He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of money while violating those laws. (Statue 28-416) He was also cited for DUI.
