A Washington County Sheriff's deputy and a prisoner being transported walked away with minor injuries after hitting a large bird on Wednesday.
The deputy's cruiser crossed paths with a turkey going 62 miles-per-hour, causing the bird to smash through the windshield.
A department Facebook post reads, "We have a very lucky deputy today." Both the deputy and prisoner suffered minor cuts due to the flying glass.
