One man went to the hospital and another to jail after a stabbing Friday morning. Shortly after 6:30 a.m. officers responded to Midtown Gas & Grocery at Park Avenue and Woolworth to check out an injured man.
47 year old John Schmidt arrived at the store in a car. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but is expected to survive.
Investigators say Schmidt told them he was assaulted near 35th and Cuming. Police arrested Jamie Alvarado and booked him for Domestic Assault, 2nd Degree Assault and Use of a Weapon.
