A construction worker has died after falling from an elevated platform Wednesday morning.
The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the the Andover Point Apartments construction site, near 128th and Chandler Plaza, just before 9:00. Authorities say a worker, 60 year old Jerome Charvat, reportedly fell from an elevated platform he was working on. It is not clear yet what caused Charvat to fall between 20-30 feet to the ground.
Charvat was flown by medical helicopter, to Bergen Mercy Hospital, in very critical condition where he later died from his injuries. Sheriff's investigators are on scene, with OSHA officials notified of the incident.
