A former Council Bluffs city employee has been sentenced to nine years in prison for child pornography. A jury found 35-year-old Jamin Fletcher guilty in April of receiving and distributing child porn.
The charges were the result of an FBI investigation on an internet file sharing program. Investigators say an IP address subscribed to Fletcher downloaded child pornography from a shared folder on the site. An investigation found child pornography on Fletcher's computer and cell phone.
In addition to prison time, Fletcher was fined $5,000, ordered to pay $200 to the Crime Victims' Fund and serve 10 years of probation following his prison time.
Authorities say Fletcher was an accounting clerk for the city of Council Bluffs from 2008 to 2017.
