Update: Bellevue Police were called to check on the well-being of a 29 year old man at 35th Avenue and Jason Circle at 2:38 p.m. The man's wife met officers when they arrived outside the home. She reported that her husband was distraught and possibly armed with two guns.
An officer then heard what sounded like a gunshot in the direction of the house. Additional officers and the South Metro SWAT Unit and Tactical Negotiation Unit were called to the scene. About an hour later the man surrendered and was taken into custody without incident and taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation.
No one was injured and the investigation continues.
