A Monday morning crash ended with a scuffle in the street that led to a trail of troubles for the alleged assailant.
Police say just after 6:30, Jason Wilson was northbound on Saddle Creek when his car hit a pickup truck that had pulled out in front of him. Wilson told officers that his girlfriend, a passenger in his car, was hurt and that's what prompted the events that followed.
Investigators say Wilson got out of his car and confronted the other driver, Bradley Waite. He allegedly pushed Waite to the ground and punched him in the head several times. Waite told officers that his only injuries were from the assault.
Wilson had an active warrant out of Sarpy County and was driving on a suspended license. In addition to the Sarpy County warrant, Wilson is now accused of Third Degree Assault, Driving with Suspended License, No proof of Financial Responsibility, No Proof of Ownership and No Seat Belt Use.
