A man who robbed the Dairy Queen at 72nd and Blondo Monday afternoon didn't get far.
Omaha Police say while officers were en route just before 1:00, they were advised that citizens were holding down the suspect near 71st and Blondo.
Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody. Employees told officers that the suspect made a purchase and when the cash register opened he grabbed money and ran from the store.
Police say 44 year old David Rumsey was booked at Douglas County Corrections for Robbery.
