A terrifying moment in downtown Omaha late Thursday night. A person was injured after the vehicle they were in crashed through a hotel lobby.
The person went to the hospital but suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash at the DoubleTree Hotel near 16th and Dodge streets.
Omaha Police say the vehicle came down 16th Street and crashed through a large window near the entrance of the Hotel.
A woman in the vehicle told 6 News the driver did the best he could. "The gas pedal was just pressed all the way down to the ground and wouldn't stop. He tried to stop with both his feet, and we couldn't stop."
No hotel employees or guests were injured in the incident. The crash remains under investigation.
