The Bellevue police officer charged with two counts of attempted assault was in court today. Bond was set at $1 million for Craig Wiech.
Sunday night, police were sent to a home that Wiech shared with Carrie Brown at 189th and L Street. Brown was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound.
Douglas County Sheriff's deputies say that Wiech was intoxicated and hit an Omaha police officer. He also two swings at firefighters
Authorities say that Wiech and Brown were in a relationship. He faces no charges in connection to her death. That case remains under investigation.
