A bicyclist is recovering from serious injuries following a hit and run accident early Friday morning.
Omaha Police say just after 2:00, 41 year old Randy West, of Plainville, Kansas, was cycling northbound on 93rd near Maple when he was hit by a westbound Honda. The vehicle stopped briefly, but then fled westbound from the scene.
West was transported to Bergan Mercy with serious injuries to his leg and head. While his injuries are considered serious, doctors believe they are not life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation.
