Omaha Police are investigating a shooting early Sunday morning that left a woman in critical condition. Officers responded to CUMC - University Campus at 2:40 a.m. to investigate a report of a walk-in shooting victim.
25 year old Tyler Ruth Jones was then transported to Bergan Mercy Hospital for treatment of her gunshot wounds. Police say her injuries are considered life threatening.
It was determined that the shooting occurred in front of a house near 24th and Whitmore. The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP.
