Pottawattamie County authorities say a man was killed and two others were injured in a two vehicle crash south of Crescent, Iowa Thursday afternoon.
The preliminary investigation indicates that 30 year old Buddy Kobes of Missouri Valley was driving a 2018 Chevy Impala northbound on Old Lincoln Highway near Prairie Lane around 4:00. 53 year old Thomas Madsen of Missouri Valley was southbound in his 2005 Ford F-250.
Investigators say both drivers were negotiating a curve when the vehicles collided. Both drivers were pinned in their vehicles. Kobes died at the scene. A passenger in his vehicle, 36 year old Jason Doiel of Modale, Iowa, suffered minor injuries.
Madsen was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
