A stranded kitten is safe now thanks to an unlikely helper...a K9 unit.
Around 2:00 Thursday afternoon, a Douglas County Sheriff’s K9 Deputy observed a loose kitten in the median of Interstate 80 near 96th street. The Deputy was able to corral the feline and get him safely into his cruiser, much to the chagrin of his canine “Chet.”
The Deputy turned the kitten over to the Nebraska Humane Society until the little one is adopted into a 'fur-ever' home.
