A woman is recovering after sustaining minor injuries in a Friday afternoon robbery on a Council Bluffs bike trail.
Council Bluffs Police say the woman was on the trail just north of I-29 when an armed man grabbed her from behind. The man then pointed the handgun at her ant threatened to hurt her. During the struggle, the gun went off, injuring the woman.
The suspect stole some of the woman's belongings, then took off on a black mountain bike. The suspect is described as a black man with facial hair, in his late 20's or early 30's.
