Investigators say a lightning strike during a Sunday afternoon thunderstorm caused a house to catch fire near 154th and Fowler Avenue.
No one was home at the time of the fire, which was reported around 3:45 When firefighters arrived they found smoke coming from the roof. Crews quickly extinguished a fire in the attic. Two adults and four children who live there were displaced and the Red Cross is assisting them .
Damage is estimated at $30,000.
