Omaha Police say a mother and daughter were assaulted by the driver of a stolen car after their car was struck near 35th Avenue and Martha early Wednesday afternoon.
Sergeant Harmon Moss tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB the driver of the white car ran a stop sign and struck the red SUV. Moss says the driver and passenger in the stolen car got out and began running. "When they took off the mother and daughter in the other vehicle tried to stop him and he began fighting with them."
Neighbors saw what was going on and held the man down until police arrived. He was handcuffed and taken to the hospital as a precaution. the women suffered minor injuries in the scuffle. Moss says the car was stolen earlier in the day.
