The search for a man reported missing on Saturday afternoon at Ginger Cove in Valley has ended.
Dive teams from Yutan, Waterloo and Valley were involved in the search and authorities confirm that the man's body has been recovered. Valley Police Chief Brett Smith identifies the man as Dennis McGuire.
He tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB McGuire's body was pulled from the lake by the Waterloo Water Rescue team in less than three feet of water around 7:30 Monday morning.
The search began on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Law enforcement was told at the time that the 49-year-old man had last been seen 12 hours earlier at 1 a.m.
The investigation continues and an autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
