Omaha Police say a 22 year old man who was shot while pumping gas late Thursday night has died. He is identified as Jeremiah Plater.
Officers were called to the Bucky's near 102nd and Maple just before midnight. Plater was taken to the hospital with critical injuries and later died.
Police say Plater was pumping gas when three shots rang out. He was hit in the chest/abdomen area. The suspect fled in the scene in what is believed to be a small, red four-door car.
