A Council Bluffs man is recovering after being shot in his home Friday night.
Council Bluffs Police say just after 10:00, officers were called to home near 14th and Avenue C for reports of a shooting. Once at the home, officers found 45 year old Tony Hemiller suffering with a single gunshot wound to the lower back. Hemiller was transported to Nebraska Medicine for treatment. His injury is not considered life-threatening.

The shooting remains under investigation.
