Cottrell was shot at least once. The female was also hit. The other adult passenger suffered minor injuries from glass fragments.
The deputy was hit by the suspects’ vehicle. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and released. Cottrell was taken to the hospital where he was reported in stable condition and will undergo surgery.
