A Council Bluffs woman was hospitalized after reportedly being accidentally shot.
Council Bluffs Police officers were called to a home near 15th and 3rd Avenue just before 2:00 Sunday afternoon. 6 News reports that a woman at the home told officers that she had accidentally shot her mother in the chest.
Emergency crews responded and found that the woman was conscious and breathing. She was transported to the hospital.
Council Bluffs Police have not identified either women yet. The incident remains under investigation.
