An Omaha was critically injured when his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle just before 6:00 Thursday evening near Blondo Street and Papillion Parkway.
Investigators say a 1994 Honda VT100C motorcycle was traveling westbound on Blondo approaching Papillion Parkway. The motorcyclist tried to pass by Papillion Parkway through a green traffic signal when it collided with a 2004 Honda Accord.
Police say the car pulled into the intersection from eastbound Blondo to turn left onto Papillion Parkway and also had a green traffic signal.
The motorcyclist, 47 year old Mickey Colbert, was wearing a DOT approved helmet and was transported by Omaha Fire/Rescue to CHI Bergan Mercy Medical Center to be treated for critical injuries, including multiple fractures and possible internal injuries.
The driver of the Honda, 35 year old Michael Miller, suffered facial lacerations but declined treatment.
