An Omaha man is behind bars after an hours long standoff with police.
Just after 10:30 Monday night, officers were called to a report of shots fired near 45th & Izard. Police started searching for a suspect and quickly zeroed in on a house with someone barricaded inside.
Around 2:30 Tuesday morning, officers could be heard over a loud speaker telling the man that they had a search warrant. Just before 3:00, authorities took the suspect into custody. The incident shut several streets in the area down, including parts of Saddle Creek.
The name of the suspect hasn't been released and there is no word on a motive yet. No one was injured, but the suspect was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
