Residents in an Omaha neighborhood say they are grateful no one was seriously injured after a car took down a street light and a stop sign before hitting a retaining wall and slamming into a house near 90th and Orchard Friday afternoon.
"I figured two trucks had hit head on," a neighbor who heard the collision told NewsRadio 1110 KFAB. "That's when I came out and saw this. I can't believe anybody could get out of it."
She says the driver climbed out of the overturned vehicle and began to walk away. She says a short time later he was apprehended. The man suffered was taken to the hospital for treatment of some injuries. Omaha Police are still investigating the crash.
A woman was inside the home at the time of the crash but was not injured.
