A man accused of inappropriately touching his coworkers is now facing a number of charges in Douglas County. Former Local Beer and Patio general manager John Thompson has pleaded not guilty to twelve misdemeanor charges, including five counts of third-degree sexual assault.
Police reports show that women who worked at the 10th and Dodge restaurant were touched inappropriately.
One victim told 6 News that Thompson would make unwanted advances towards her. "About a week after I started working there, he would touch me inappropriately, rubbing my back, putting his hands through my hair, touching my butt several times, caressing my face, always wanting to give me hugs."
Another victim said she experienced similar unwanted advances from Thompson. "He stood behind me at the register and grabbed my butt and moaned into my ear. As I was leaving work, he stopped me and he kissed me on my mouth. I left work, and I got in my car. All I could do was cry."
Both women quit their jobs after they say the touching went too far. Management confirms Thompson is no longer employed at LOCAL Beer and Patio.
