Julia Hawkins ran the 100-meter dash in 40.12 seconds at the USA Track and Field Outdoors Masters Championships on Saturday, setting a new record for female runners age 100 or over. Nicknamed Hurricane Hawkins, Julia took up competitive running only last year, at age 100. Now, she said, she’s looking for a new challenge.
