A Covid-19 Case Is Confirmed In A Papillion Nursing Home

A resident of a Metro skilled nursing and short term rehabilitation center has tested positive for Covid-19 coronavirus.

In a statement, "Papillion Manor" officials said they were notified Thursday evening of the positive test, and the resident was safely transferred to an area hospital.

The statement went on to say the resident came to "Papillion Manor" from an Omaha hospital last week.

Upon arrival, the resident was cared for in a private, isolated room and did not move about the building.

Shortly after admission, when symptoms were identified, a primary care physician was contacted as well as the Sarpy/Cass County Health Department to obtain testing.

The facility has been closed to visitors since March, 7th.
