Junkstock Returns Home To Sycamore Farms After Elkhorn River Flooding

Junkstock is ready for a big homecoming celebration. Sycamore Farms was under water after the Elkhorn River flooded last March. That left tons of sand and silt deposits all over the 130 acre farm. After much work Sycamore Farms is ready to host Junkstock: Under the Stars June 21st through the 23rd.

The "Under the Stars" event features hot air balloons, a 1950's Ferris wheel, a vintage VW show, vendors, music, food trucks and much more.

"We are really excited to be back home at Sycamore Farms, " said Sara Alexander, Junkstock founder. "It has been a very long and challenging road to get the farm back in shape for our Junkstock family. We are so thankful for all of the support of the community throughout the entire process. We are so proud of our mall but mighty team of helpers and volunteers who have been able to help restore some magic back to the farm."

Junkstock runs June 21st from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., June 22nd from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and June 24th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are a number of kids activities that include giant kites, pony rides, face painting, bounce houses and more.

Sycamore Farm is located at 1150 River Road Drive in Waterloo.
