An Omaha massage therapist is accused of sexually assaulting two clients at a local spa. 62 year old Melvin Buffington was booked for one count of first degree assault and one count of third degree assault.
On February 11, a victim told police that Buffington sexually assaulted her in January at Oasis Massage & Spa, just north of 132nd and West Dodge. The victim reported that the Buffington sexually assaulted her during a scheduled massage appointment.
During the investigation a second victim came forward to say she was assaulted during her massage appointment on February 15.
On Monday Buffington was arrested at the business. Police say Oasis Massage & Spa has cooperated with the investigation. Omaha Police say they are not releasing the suspect's mugshot because there could be similar incidents that have not been reported. If other victims do come forward, detectives may be required to show photo line-ups.
