Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert is ready to hear what's on the minds of citizens. On Monday night she will kick off a series of Town Hall meetings at VFW Post 2503 near 89th and Military.
"The issues are different in each City Council district so we will visit all seven to give everyone a chance to participate," Stothert says. She will also have Police Chief Todd Schmaderer and Fire Chief Dan Olsen with her to field questions. Each meeting begins at 6:00.
Stothert says street conditions are one of the biggest concerns brought up each year. She will also share some good news concerning gun crime. If the trend continues, Stothert says the number of shootings this year could be one of the lowest in several years.
