Heartland Heroes, Animal Rescue Groups Will Be Honored Guests At Junkstock

When the flood hit, the home of Junkstock knew they needed help. There were several mini ponies and a donkey stuck in the floodwater that was almost over their heads. Several animal rescue groups brought in an air boat and used whatever was available to get the animals to safety, including a big piece of Styrofoam.

Spokesperson Danelle Schlegelmilch says as a thank you to the groups that saved "our babies”, they will be the honored guest at Junkstock's Spring Edition that runs Friday through Sunday.

Schlegelmilch says the animals rescued from Sycamore Farms will be there as well as other rescue animals, baby goats, lambs and even some puppies. Visitors are invited to stop by and learn more about these nonprofits and say thank you for all they did for so many during the disaster.
