While in town, please remember the following safety tips in mind while enjoying the merriments:
Ensure windows and doors are locked – both at the residence and vehicles.
Do not leave keys or other valuables in your vehicle. It takes seconds for a thief to break into a vehicle and steal belongings.
Never start your car and leave it unattended.
Park in busy, well-lit areas.
Keep your wits about you. As in any city, pay attention to your surroundings and if you see something, say something.
Don’t drive impaired. Utilize mass transit or ride shares.
Properly secure firearms and do not leave them in your vehicle.
Please note that Denver has a city ordinance prohibiting open carrying a firearm and concealed carrying requires a permit.
