99th Washington County Fair Starts Friday

The 99th annual Washington County Fair kicks off this Friday, July 28, 2017, in Arlington, Neb. Entry into the fairgrounds is free. Admission is charged only for nightly arena events. There are plenty of activities for the entire family along with 4-H animals and exhibits on display.

On Friday, national country music entertainer and American Idol winner, Scotty McCreery, will perform. On Saturday and Sunday cowboys and cowgirls will compete in the Mid-states rodeo. Sunday is packed full with a bike ride to the fair, mud volleyball tournament, a backyard BBQ contest and parade.

Kids from across the region will also be showing their livestock. The shows start with the horses on Saturday and Sunday. The sheep will show on Sunday, followed by the beef show on Monday and pigs on Tuesday. Plenty more exhibits are on display including quilts, flowers, photography, craft projects and much more.

The events continue next week with the antique tractor pull, pickup pull and garden tractor pull. The kids get into the action with the peddle tractor pull on Monday night. A wine tasting event on Tuesday night hosts Nebraska wineries. The fair wraps up on Wednesday with the Demolition Derby and music by Lemon Fresh Day.  Fair Dates: July 28-August 2.  More Information click here.
