INSULTING: Tenured professor blasts Barbara Bush on Twitter, then shows how much of a spine she really has

There’s a certain dignitary and grace, a definite civility and seriousness, that follows the death of an important person, a historical figure. Especially if they had, in their 92 years on Earth, been both the First Lady and a First Mother.

Randa Jarrar, an associate professor at California State University in Fresno, took a different approach — within an hour of Barbara Bush’s death.

RELATED: Barbara Bush, a lady until the end

Here’s the thing about Jarrar. She loves giving the middle finger (Google Image search her name if you have the stomach) and mocking whiteness, “white feminism,” and Israel (she’s Muslim). Worst of all, she’s tenured.

She tweeted: “Barbara Bush was a generous and smart and amazing racist who, along with her husband, raised a war criminal. F*** outta here with your nice words.”

Here’s another sample of her venom: “PSA: either you are against these pieces of s*** and their genocidal ways or you’re part of the problem. that’s actually how simple this is. I’m happy the witch is dead. can’t wait for the rest of her family to fall to their demise the way 1.5 million iraqis have. byyyeeeeeeee.”

Here’s some more of her academic writing (you can tell by now she got an MFA in Creative Writing, can’t you?): “All the hate I’m getting ALMOST made me forget how happy I am that George W Bush is probably really sad right now.”

Like an obnoxious child at a funeral, she kept going. Even when she was asked to calm down: “sweetie i work as a tenured professor. I make 100K a year doing that. i will never be fired. i will always have people wanting to hear what i have to say. even you are one of them!”

“How many students have been exposed to her toxic attitude?”

She even roped in the school’s president: “LOL! Let me help you. You should tag my president @JosephICastro. What I love about being an American professor is my right to free speech, and what I love about Fresno State is that I always feel protected and at home here. GO BULLDOGS!”

Last night, she posted what she claimed was her phone number, which actually turned out to be a mental health emergency crisis phone line. How many students have been exposed to her toxic attitude?

There’s also her equally toxic Twitter account, full of expletives and insults. All bravado and outrage. Every other tweet, she mentions she’s a professor — with tenure — so she can say whatever she wants, and no one can do anything.

Don’t bother trying to find her account, though. She locked it and deleted all the damning tweets. That’s how tough she is. That’s how much courage she really has.
