'Leave It To Beaver' Star Ken Osmond Has Died At 76

Leave It to Beaver star Ken Osmond has passed away at 76-years-old, TMZ reports. Osmond passed away at his home in Los Angeles and was surrounded by his loved ones in his final moments.

The actor's son, Eric, confirmed the sad news to TMZ. He told the outlet that Osmond "was an incredibly kind and wonderful father. He had his family gathered around him when he passed. He was loved and will be very missed."

Osmond played Eddie Haskell—the smart-mouthed best friend of Wally Cleaver— on the '50s TV show. The fan-favorite character was originally only meant to appear as an infrequent guest star, however, Osmond's stand out performance quickly ensured he'd appear regularly over Leave It to Beaver's six seasons.

In addition to his acting career, Osmond joined the Los Angeles Police Department in 1970 where he worked as an officer until his retirement in 1988.

Rest is peace, Ken.
