Bail Set For Man Accused Of Threatening Douglas County Health Director

Bail was set at $100,000 on Thursday for a man accused of threatening the Douglas County Health Director.

The bond for 57 year old Ronald Penzkowski of Omaha was set at $75,000 on charges of Felony Terroristic Threats and an additional $25,000 for Misdemeanor Stalking.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says Penzkowski, a former Omaha mayoral communications director for Jim Suttle and local meteorologist, threatened to lynch and slit the throat of Dr. Adi Pour. Investigators say his motives appeared to be aimed at decisions made by Dr. Pour when it comes to social distancing and the economic costs that come with it.

Penzkowski reportedly sent 15 emails to Dr. Pour threatening her life during the span of a week. He was booked into Douglas County Jail on Wednesday.
