Lincoln Police Release Photo Of Temple Vandalism Suspect

LINCOLN, Nebraska - Lincoln Police now have video of the suspect who painted a swastika on the front steps of the South Street Temple. The vandalism appears to have happened just after midnight on January 13th.

Police were called on Wednesday after someone called them to report the racial epithet. Officers say the suspect used orange paint to draw a swastika on the front steps of the temple. this is being investigated as a hate crime.

ADL-CRC today strongly condemned the anti-Semitic vandalism.

“This heinous act of desecration committed against this house of worship is despicable and must be condemned in the strongest terms by community leaders,” said Gary Nachman, Regional Director of ADL Plain States/CRC. “But this cowardly behavior, which only seeks to instill fear in our community, will not deter Jews or any other religious group from practicing our constitutional right of religious expression and freedom. community and are ready and willing to assist law enforcement as they go forth with their investigation.”
