Omaha Teenager Shot Saturday Night

Omaha Police say a 13 year old boy was wounded by gunfire Saturday night. Officers responded to a shooting call at 48th and Spaulding around 9:15 p.m. Witnesses said Tyan Eckhardt was walking to a house when a man got out of a possible grey Nissan Maxima vehicle that was parked nearby and began firing at the him.

Eckhardt was struck once by the gunfire and was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP, at www.omahacrimestoppers.org or on the P3 Tips mobile app.
