Crime Stoppers Tip Leads Police To Stolen Puppy

Omaha Police say a CrimeStoppers tip helped them find a puppy that was stolen on Wednesday. It happened at Tully’s Kennel. An employee told officers that two people entered the store to look at puppies.

While they were looking at the dogs, the woman placed a Pomeranian/ Miniature Australian Shepherd in her purse and left the building. News of the stolen puppy ended with a tip to Omaha Crime Stoppers. On Friday Officer Chris Gordon was able to use the tip and locate the puppy.

The dog is now back at Tully's Kennel. Omaha Police said in a Facebook post "We fell in love with this cutie! From our time with the him, we know that he loves rides in the cruiser, exploring our Criminal Investigations Unit and of course, Officer Gordon."

Police have not said if the woman who took the dog has been caught.
