Bellevue Teacher To Stand Trial In Child Porn Case

A Logan Fontenelle Middle School teacher has been ordered to stand trial for possession of child pornography. Roger Jaeger waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday and bond was set at $250,000.

The case surfaced when police were contacted by the owner of Affordable Computer Repair on Franklin Street regarding possible child pornography on a customer's computer.

A search warrant was executed on the device and police say that resulted in "hundreds of suspected child pornography images being found." Police said they had no reason to believe that any photos they found were of students.

Bellevue Police arrested the seventh-grade science teacher last Friday and escorted out of the building. Jaeger is currently on administrative leave.
