Former Youth Pastor To Headed To Prison For Sexual Assault

A former Omaha youth pastor is headed to prison after being sentenced on an attempted sexual assault charge.

In court on Wednesday, 34 year old Klint Bitter was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison. The sentencing comes after Bitter pleaded guilty to a charge of Attempted Sexual Assault.

Bitter had originally been charged charge with First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, but that charge was reduced. He was a pastor of children and student ministry at Christ Community Church near 108th and Harney. Prosecutors say Bitter had sexual contact with a fifteen year old who he met through nineteen year old human trafficker DeArch Stubblefield.

Church officials fired Bitter when the charges came to light.
