Teen Accused In Sexual Assault Of His Caretaker

An eighteen year old Bellevue man is facing a number of charges in connection to an assault Tuesday night at a home for people with disabilities. 

Bellevue Police say Jesse Alvarez-Rodriguez is accused of sexually assaulting a caretaker at the Community Supports, Inc home in Bellevue. 

Police were called to the home just after 8:00 to investigate a reported assault. 

The victim told police that she had been attacked by Alvarez-Rodriguez, but was able to escape her assailant. 

Officer Laurie Synowiecki says the caretaker was extremely brave and acted swiftly in alerting law enforcement to the situation. "We are thankful that our officers were able arrive quickly and get the attention to the victim in this case, as well as immediately take the suspect into custody." 

The victim was taken to Nebraska Medicine in Bellevue for medical treatment. 

Alvarez-Rodriguez was booked into Sarpy County Jail on charges of First Degree Sexual Assault, Third Degree Assault, False Imprisonment and Strangulation.
