The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says 75-year-old Marvin Lovette died Wednesday at a Lincoln hospital.
Lovette began serving a 46-to-62 year sentence in 2006, on charges of sexual assault and child abuse out of Hall County.
The investigation into a cause of death is underway, and, under Nebraska law, a grand jury will also be empaneled to investigate.
