According to Pulse Networks, rumors surfaced yesterday that Krusty the Clown may be the character getting killed off of The Simpsons in the coming season.

Showrunner Al Jean announced last year that a major character would be axed in an episode airing on September 28th. Al has revealed that the title of the episode is 'A Clown in the Dumps' which has many speculating that it could be Krusty since a previous clue revealed that the actor who portrays the character has won an Emmy for his work. Krusty is voiced by Dan Castellenata, who also voices Homer ... and has won an Emmy for his work.

HOWEVER, I think they're fingering the wrong clown!  (Don't act like you've never heard that exact sentence before.)  I think the epic battle between Bart and former Krusty sidekick Sideshow Bob will finally meet its end.

Sideshow Bob is voiced by Frasier star Kelsey Grammer ... who has won multiple Emmys (including for his Simpsons voice work).  Plus, the episode will also be a crossover with Family Guy, so the potential for Bob and Stewie to either join their devious personalities or clash is too rich.

Besides, if they kill off Sideshow Bob, there's always the potential he comes back.  They thought they were rid of him lots of times!
